The award ceremony of 9th Japanese Literature Translation Contest was held at Parkroyal Hotel 22nd June on the occasion of 15th Japanese Speech Contest. This translation contest was held in Yangon and Mandalay 8th February. Japanese literary work which participants have translated was “The Temple of the Golden Pavilion” by Yukio Mishima, and totally 68 people have participated in 2 cities. Top 3 winners are as follows;

1st prize                 Ms. Aung Mya Maw
2nd prize                Ms. Thinn Thandar Aung
3rd prize                Ms. Chu Khet Khine

Certificate is awarded by Ambassador Higuchi to three winners and Electronic Dictionary sponsored by JCCY is awarded to 1st winner, Smartphone sponsored by Yangon Japanese Association is awarded to 2nd winner, and MP3 music player is awarded to 3rd winner. And winners, when they satisfy all qualifications, will be invited to Japan under JENESYS 2.0 Program at the beginning of November.
