KAZUO SUZUKI (ALTOSAX & FLUTE)
Kazuo Suzuki was for many years the “first call” alto saxophonist in Tokyo. This status allowed him the opportunity to perform with such giants in music as Lionel Hampton, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughn, Sammy Davis Jr., Natalie Cole and The Temptations and more….Kazuo also released a CD. of original arrangements entitled “TOMODACHI” in 1996 to critical acclaim.
Since his arrival in Bangkok several years ago he has been very active locally performing in hotels, concert venues and jazz festivals.
He has appeared in Yokosuka Jazz Fest, Hua Hin Jazz Fest. Monterey Jazz Fest[1991] and San Jose Jazz Fest[1994].
Kenro Oshidari (Bass)
Kenro has been working with the United Nations World Food Programme, which took him all over the world throughout his career. Music has been a hobby, but he has always brought his bass along and played regularly with local musicians of the country he resided. He has played in bands in Japan, United States, Kenya, South Africa, Cambodia, Italy, Croatia, Sudan and currently in Thailand. Kenro also composes original music and performs them.
DALE LEE (DRUMS)
Dale Lee has played music since the age of 9, first taking up cornet in elementary school band class, but a year later switched to drums and while growing up played in drum and bugle corps marching bands, to big bands, as well as writing and recording original music with friends.
Dale is a co-founder and day-to-day manages a successful specialty coffee roasting business based in Thailand called CoffeeWORKS, but in his spare time plays jazz with both part-time and professional musicians that have included guitarist Jerry Byrd, bassists Tim Hauff and Jair-Rohm Parker Wells, Singer Coco York, and informal jam sessions with pianist Randy Cannon. Since the late 1990s in Thailand, Dale has mostly played in a group formed with pianist Stuart Raj and bassist Kenro Oshidari that also now includes guitarist Joe Cifarelli and saxophone/flute player Kazuo Suzuki.
