The Palaung Peace Development Association was established in 1976 to involve in various activities for development of the population residing in mountainous areas of Northern Shan State . It is expected that the assistance will benefit the students in their pursuit of formal learning thereby contribute to progress of the area and strengthen existing friendly relations between Japan and Myanmar.
