JAPAN EDUCATION SEMINAR TO BE HELD IN MANDALAY

With the increase of students learning Japanese in Myanmar nowadays, the number of students who wish to further their studies at Japanese Universities and Colleges has also been on the rise.

For the benefit of those students, the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), the Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA) and the Embassy of Japan, co-hosted the Japan Education Seminar in Yangon at Nikko Hotel Royal Lake on 17 February, giving a wide opportunity to those students to enquire on details of study in Japan .

The Embassy will also be holding a similar Education Seminar in Mandalay on 9 March 2007 , from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Mingalar Hall of the Mandalay Swan Hotel for Japanese language students of Mandalay and Upper Myanmar who wish to study in Japan .

At the seminar in Mandalay , Dr. Khin Win Than, advisor of the Studying in Japan programme at the Embassy will give a brief account of the Japan's Education System and give advice as to such matters as entrance for Japanese Universities, Colleges, Vocational Training Schools and scholarship programs. Dr. Khin Win Than will also answer questions raised by participants on the occasion.
