The Embassy of Japan, with the aim of providing necessary information to prospective students individually who wish to further their studies in Japan, holds ‘Student Advisory Program for Studying in Japan' at the Embassy on a monthly basis. The next advisory session takes place as follows:

Under this program a Student Advisor gives advice as well as explains such issues as different line of studies, how to contact different Universities in Japan and how to apply for scholarships programs provided by the Government of Japan, other local Foundations and Institutions in Japan . Necessary information such as contact points, e-mail addresses of Japanese Language Institutions, Colleges and Universities are also given. Furthermore, pamphlets and other reference materials relating to scholarship programs are provided at the counselling session. The Student Advisor also answers queries raised by students on an individual basis.
This Student Advisory Program is conducted by two Student Advisors alternately. This month's Student Advisory Program will be conducted by Dr. Khin Win Than, who studied in Japan for five years from 1989 to 1994 and attained her Ph. D. in Medical Science (Pathology) from the Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Dr. Khin Win Than has been serving as a Student Advisor since April 2004.
The Advisory Program in May will be conducted by a new Student Advisor Professor U Than Swe, who was a Ph. D. candidate in Economics at the Kyoto University and is a former Rector of Meikhtila Institute of Economics.
Any interested students are welcome to attend this program. They are recommended to register in advance at the Information and Culture Section of the Embassy (Ph. 549 644 - 8). They are also requested to arrive at the Embassy before 2:00 p.m. on the day of the program with their NRCs or any other Identity Cards.
