The Embassy of Japan will be presenting “Sen Rikyu” (Sen no Rikyu) directed by Kei Kumai at the Assembly Hall of the Embassy on October 24, Wednesday and 25, Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets for the Film Show will be available from 15 October 2007 to the day of the show (during 9:00 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 17:30 ) at the Embassy of Japan. One ticket is for one person only. Please note that total number of audience is limited.

Synopsis
One day, Hongakubo disciple of the great tea master Sen Rikyu gets a surprise visit from Lord Oda Urakusai, who has become obsessed with the reason why Hideyoshi was so angry with Sen Rikyu and ordered him to commit ritual suicide. One year later, Hongakubo decides to tell Urakusai what he knows about a certain tea ceremony held at the Myokian Tea House in Yamazaki, Sen Rikyu's favourite in his later years.
Urakusai found out about the great tea master Sen Rikyu's state of mind before his death and regarding the last tea ceremony of Rikyu and Hideyoshi. He understood the whole significance of Rikyu's death to defend his honour and pride as a tea person and in his imagination……
