The Government of Japan decided on 5 May 2008 (Monday) to provide through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), such emergency relief goods as tents, electric generators, etc. of about ¥ 28,000,000 in total (equivalent to approximately U.S.$ 266,000 ) to the Government of the Union of Myanmar, which has sustained serious damages from storm Nargis.
