On 24 th May 2008 at 11:00 a.m., at the office of Myanmar Medical Association located at No. 249, Thien Phyu Road, Mingala Taungnyunt Township, Yangon, Ms. Yoshie KAN-O and Mr. Yutaka ITADANI from "AEON 1% Club", established by a Japanese private company group "AEON", who are staying in Myanmar to join the visit of donors' groups organized by the Government of the Union of Myanmar, donate 84 mosquito bed nets to "Myanmar Medical Association, Disaster Relief Committee" represented by Dr. U Tin Aye, DRC Member, on behalf of the President Dr. U Kyaw Myint Naing , as a part of their goodwill contributing to the emergency assistance to help the people of Myanmar who suffered from the recent Cyclone Nargis.
"AEON" Company has also donated ¥ 10,000,000 Japanese Yen (equivalent to approximately US$ 96,000) to His Excellency U Hla Min, Ambassador of the Union of Myanmar in Tokyo . The Company will further donate building materials for shelter to assist those who have suffered and gone through very hard time due to the Cyclone Nargis.
