The Japanese Song Contest 2008 (NODOJIMAN) will be held in Yangon at the Assembly Hall of the Embassy of Japan, on October 12, 2008 (Saturday), from 14:00 hours.
Any enthusiastic Myanmar national with the ability to sing Japanese songs in Japanese are cordially invited to participate in the contest. Applicants are not necessarily required to be able to speak in Japanese.
Application forms for the Contest can be obtained from the Information and Culture Section of the Japanese Embassy at 100 Natmauk Road , Bahan Township in Yangon from June 30 to July 25, 2008 on weekdays between 08:30 - 12:30 in the mornings and 01:30 - 05:30 in the afternoons.
Interested parties are free to choose a Japanese song and are required to submit a cassette tape/CD version of the same song by the original artist . Selection of contestants will be carried out during the preliminary contest based on their talent, Japanese pronunciation and performance. The date of the preliminary contest will be announced in due course.
All interested people are kindly requested to submit their Application Forms in time as the number of applicants to be selected to participate in the Contest is limited.
