The pplication for the Asian Youth ellowship (AYF) wil lstart rom Aug.24 (Mon.), 2009. The Informationand Culture Section of the Embassy of Japan (100 Natmauk Road, Bahan Township, Yangon, tel.549644~8) will accept the application until Oct.16 (Fri..), 2009.

Successful applicants will aim at a degree at graduate school in Japan as Japanese Government Scholarship Student after they learn Japanese at the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institutein Osaka, Japan.

(a)Universitygraduateswhohaveprincipallycompleted16yearsofschooleducation.

(b)Goodacademicrecord.

(c)Majoringinafieldthatisexpectedtocontributetotheregionaldevelopment.

(d)ProficiencyinEnglishandhaveastrongwilltolearntheJapaneselanguage.

(e)Ingoodhealth.

(f)WishtopursueMaster'sorDoctoralprogram.

(g)WillingnesstoliveintheprovideddormitorythroughouttheProgram.

 

FinancialSponsorshipduringAYFProgram

(a)Fundamentaltextbookswillbefreeofcharge.

(b)Accommodationwillbeprovided.

(c)Foodallowanceandspecialallowancewillbeprovided.

(d)Medicalinsurancewillbeprovided.
