" Twenty Young Myanmar Engineers visit Japan under the JENESYS Programme "

Twenty Myanmar Young Engineers of Myanmar Engineering Society will visit Japan from 4th to 13th October 2009, under a short invitation programme for Myanmar Engineers, as a part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) programme.

The purpose of the program is to strengthen the relationship between Japan and Myanmar engineers.The participants will visit various construction sites in Japan such as expressway, bridges and buildings.Sending-off ceremony for Myanmar Engineers will be held on 2nd October 2009 at Chatrium Hotel.

JENESYS programme, was announced at the Second East Asia Summit in 2007, with the aim of establishing a strong basis for the solidarity of Asian Countries.Under this youth exchange programme, the Government of Japan plans to invite thousands of youth from other Asian countries to Japan during the period from 2008 to 2014.

It is expected that the Myanmar young engineers’ visit to Japan under JENESYS programme will contribute to the development of Myanmar and promote existing friendly relations between Japan and Myanmar.
