Jivitadana Sasana Hospital was established in 1986 as a 50-bedded facility. Since the hospital offers free medical services including hospitalization to the poor, the Government of Japan provided medical equipment such as an anesthetic, an ultrasound, an analyzer, an elisa reader, an endoscope machine and a traction machine in order to improve its services.
It is expected that this assistance will upgrade the hospital and benefit the patients in the region, thereby further
strengthening existing friendly relations between Japan and Myanmar.
