
The Embassy of Japan, Yangon is now ready to accept entries for the 7th Japanese Literature Translation Contest 2012. This contest was established in 2006 by the Embassy of Japan in cooperation with the Myanmar Association for Japan Alumni (MAJA), and has been supported by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yangon (JCCY). The intention of the contest is to measure participants' ability to translate Japanese into Myanmar. This year, the contest will not be divided into categories, although there had been three levels: namely basic, intermediate and advanced until last year. One Japanese literature will be prescribed for the contest equivalent to intermediate (N3 or N2 of JLPT) or above level.
Application forms are to be submitted to the Information & Culture Section of the Embassy of Japan at 100, Natmauk Road, Bahan Township in Yangon or to HITO Centre , Corner of 80th & 12th Street, in Mandalay.
Those people interested are cordially requested to submit their application forms in time as the number of participants might be limited.
