Start of Entries for the 8th Japanese Literature Translation Contest, 2013

The Japanese Embassy, Yangon is now ready to accept entries for the 8th Japanese Literature Translation Contest 2013. This contest was launched 2006 by the Embassy of Japan in cooperation with the Myanmar Association for Japan Alumni (MAJA), and has been supported by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yangon (JCCY). The intention of the contest is to measure participants’ ability to translate Japanese into Myanmar.

Date and Time for submission of Application :	14 to 30 January (Weekdays only ) 9:00- 12:00 and 13:00- 16:00
Eligible Contestant :	only Myanmar Nationals
Date of Contest :	9 February (Saturday)
Time of Contest :	9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Venue of Contest :	Yangon – Myanmar Engineer Society Mandalay – HITO Centre
Subject for Translation :	to be announced on the day of the contest

Application forms are to be submitted to the Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA), Building (C), Room (707), Perl Condominium, 7th Floor, Kaba Aye Pagoda Road, Bahan Township in Yangon or to HITO Centre, Corner of 80th & 12th Street, in Mandalay.

Those who are interested are cordially requested to submit their application forms in time as there are only limited places available.
