The Embassy of Japan is now ready to accept entries for the 9th Japanese Literature Translation Contest 2014 as an event to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Myanmar and Japan. This contest was launched in 2006 by the Embassy of Japan in cooperation with the Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA), and has been supported by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yangon (JCCY). The intention of the contest is to measure participants’ ability to translate Japanese into Myanmar. The top three winners will be invited to Japan.

・Applicable to Myanmar citizen only.
・May not allow a person who has finished Japanese Compulsory education in Japan and graduated from any Japanese University.
・May not allow a person who has own any prize in the past Japanese Literature Translation Contest held by the Japanese Embassy with MAJA
・Contestant must be at least JLPT N3 or N2 or above.
・Contestant must be between the age of 16 to 30 and must be a student from any University , College, and Japanese language School
