The 41st Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program Visit

The Embassy of Japan would like to inform that the 41st Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program will call at Yangon Port from 28 November to 30 November 2014.
The Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) was launched as the joint program among Japan and ASEAN countries in January 1974. This program has been carried out all the years that follow. This year, it marks the 41st program. Country Program in Myanmar is one of the commemoration events for the 60th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Myanmar and Japan.
Ten ASEAN countries and Japan participate in this program. Youths from respective countries participate in various activities to foster friendship and mutual understanding among each other in conjunction with broadening their global view. The details of program are attached.
During the ship visit, the following Press Conference will take place on board the ship.
