
JAPAN TO DISPATCH ELECTION OBSERVER MISSION TO MYANMAR

The Government of Japan decided to dispatch an election observer mission headed by Mr. Yohei Sasakawa, the Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for National Reconciliation in Myanmar, for the general election to be held in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on November 8. The Government of Japan hopes that the election will be carried out successfully and democratization of Myanmar will progress further. The Government of Japan will support free and fair elections through the dispatch of the election observer mission.
