There are 2 school buildings in Ywar Thit Gyi Village Basic Education Branch Middle School. Because of shortage of proper classrooms, over 80 students are studying in a temporary school building which is made of bamboo, with exposure to rain and wind. In order to secure an appropriate educational environment, the Government of Japan will support construction of a one-storey Reinforced Concrete Construction (R.C.C.) building with 4 classrooms, full furniture and lavatories. The project will benefit 202 students of the school.

The school building in Ku Lar Kone Village Basic Education Primary School was suffered from the flood in 2015. 66 students are studying in the deteriorated building, due to the lack of the school building. Moreover, KG students have to study in a temporary hut, whose roof is covered by GI sheets. In order to provide a proper educational environment, the Government of Japan will support construction of a two-storey R.C.C. building with 6 classrooms and full furniture. The project will benefit 139 students of the school.

The school building in No.1 Basic Education Primary School was partially destroyed by the flood in 2015. Due to the limited number of classrooms, most of the students have to study in a hall-type classroom under congested conditions. In order to tackle the issue, the Government of Japan will support construction of a two-storey R.C.C. building with 6 classrooms and full furniture. The project will benefit 273 students of the school.

Hman Yin Village Basic Education Post Primary School has faced the lack of school building. Although the villagers constructed a temporary school building which is made of fragile materials, the number of classrooms is not sufficient to accommodate all students. Therefore, the students of 4 grades are studying in a neighboring religious facility. In order to provide an appropriate educational environment, the Government of Japan will support construction of a two-storey R.C.C. building with 6 classrooms and full furniture. The project will benefit 183 students of the school.

The school building in Byan Di Village Basic Education Branch Middle School has been seriously deteriorated. However, the students of 5 grades are studying under the dangerous conditions of collapse, due to the lack of the school building. In order to secure a safe educational environment, the Government of Japan will support construction of a one-storey R.C.C. building with 4 classrooms, full furniture and lavatories. The project will benefit 103 students of the school.

The Government of Japan has assisted 838 various grass-roots projects in Myanmar under the GGP scheme since 1993: the number consisting of 411 education projects, 199 healthcare projects, 139 public welfare and environment projects, 54 infrastructure projects and 35 other projects.
