1. On 10 April 2019, H.E. Mr. Ichirou MARUYAMA, Ambassador of Japan to Myanmar, and H.E. U Set Aung, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Planning and Finance, with an attendance of H.E. U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Chairman for Myanmar Investment Commission, exchanged notes concerning the grant aid for “the Project for the Improvement of Aircraft Surveillance System” and “the project for the Provision of Agricultural Machinery and Construction Equipment in Rural Areas” , worth a total of 3,272 million Japanese Yen (approximately 29.3million USD) in Nay Pyi Taw.

2. The Project for the Improvement of Aircraft Surveillance System aims to enhance the safety of the aircraft operations in Myanmar through the improvement of aircraft surveillance system of Yangon airport, Mandalay airport, and Nay Pyi Taw airport.

3. The project for the Provision of Agricultural Machinery and Construction Equipment in Rural Areas is expected to contribute to improving agricultural productivity and the quality of life in rural areas by providing the equipment that will be utilized for the improvement of rural infrastructure in Chin state and Ayeyarwady region.
