1. On 27 May 2019, H.E. Mr. Ichirou MARUYAMA, Ambassador of Japan to Myanmar, and H.E. U Set Aung, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Planning and Finance, with an attendance of H.E. U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Chairman for Myanmar Investment Commission, exchanged notes concerning the grant aid for “the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship”, worth a total of 612 million Japanese Yen (approximately 5.56million USD) in Nay Pyi Taw.

2. The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship aims to provide young Myanmar leaders from both public and private sectors with an opportunity to study in Japan for Master’s and PHD courses, and gain necessary skills and knowledge for problem solving and policy formulation, which will promote social and economic development of Myanmar.
