Calling Entries for JENESYS 2022 in JAPAN " History of Development Cooperation" and "Youth Leaders Exchange"

  The Embassy of Japan in Myanmar is currently calling 5 participants each under these two programs "History of Development Cooperation" and "Youth Leaders Exchange". Undergraduate students or graduate students who are interested in JENESYS 2022 Inbound Program are welcomed to apply.

  * JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) Program is an exchange program for the youths to observe various topics between Japan and countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

■Contents
 (1) Attend lectures on development of Japanese politics, economy, society, culture, history and diplomatic relations to promote a better understanding of Japan.
 (2) Visit relevant ministries and agencies, high-tech and traditional industries, world heritage sites, provincial government offices, and participate in cross-cultural events, workshops, and discussions with local people.
 (3) Participate in hands-on-learning experiences such as home-visits, and cultural arts events.
 (4) Share information about Japan through reporting sessions and social media during/after the program.

■ Language
 English
   ※You need to have an English conversational skill to participate in the program actively.
 
■ Qualifications for participants
 (1)Applicants must be undergraduate student or graduate students.
 (2)Applicants must be of Myanmar nationality and live in Myanmar.
 (3)Those who have participated in JENESYS program (excludes online programs) or other programs funded by the Japanese government are ineligible.

  ✓ Invitation Program of JF (Japan Foundation), JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization) or AOTS(HIDA).
 (4) Applicants who have been to Japan are, in principle, not eligible.
 (5) Applicants who have studied in Japan for a long term are not eligible.
 (6) Those who have sufficient skills of English.
 (7) Those who are 18 - 35 years old as of the program date.
 (8) The applicant should be physically capable of keeping up with a busy program schedule requiring extensive walking each day.
 (9) The following applicants are given priority (excluding the applicant falling under (2)(3)(4)(5) above);
  - Those who have been involved in study, research or activities related to Japan or Japanese language/culture for over a year.
  - Those who have been involved in business related to Japan or Japanese products/services for over a year.
 (10) Applicants must be in possession of a valid passport at the time of departure.
 (11) The applicants must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, at least three shots of vaccine are required. If you do not have a valid vaccination certificate of 3 doses of vaccines listed on WHO emergency use listing, you need to be tested within 72 hours of your departure to Japan and have a negative test certificate issued by a medical institution.
