❃From 11 December 2025 (Thursday), the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC) was established, and the acceptance of the Japan visa applications and grants will be processed through JVAC (except from Diplomatic or Official passport and Urgent Cases etc). Application Submission Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 12:30PM, 01:30PM to 4:00PM
Passport Collection Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM
(The center will be closed on Saturday, Sunday, Public Holiday and when the Embassy is closed)

Notes:
(1) Visa application at JVAC will incur a visa fee and a JVAC service fee. (Please visit https://www.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/japan/myanmar/english/index.html for more details.)
(2) Visa fee and JVAC service fee must be paid at the time of application.
(3) The acceptance of visa applications at the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar ended on December 10 2025 (Wednesday). The result of VISA applications accepted at the Embassy before on that date will be returned at the Embassy.
(4) For cases related to diplomatic or official passports, or urgent cases requiring humanitarian consideration, please contact the Embassy of Japan.

Since the Certificate of Eligibility has computerized (electronic/online system) start from 17 March 2023, all applicants could receive the Certificate of Eligibility by email.
In this regard, the applicants who apply the long-term stay visa can submit the Certificate of Eligibility Original or Copy or printed email data when applying the visa.
Regarding the Short-term stay visa application, copies of Japan side documents can be acceptable.
