Calling Entries for JENESYS 2023 “ASEAN-Japan Sports (Rugby) × SDGs Exchange”（Application Closed）

The Embassy of Japan in Myanmar is currently calling 6 participants for JENESYS2023 “ASEAN-Japan Sports (Rugby) × SDGs Exchange”. University students who are interested in JENESYS 2023 inbound Program are welcomed to apply. (※Those who do not have rugby experience can also apply.)
Through lectures and exchanges, you will learn about Japan’s approach to Rugby and other sports, and it will be a great experience interacting with young people from the ASEAN region.
* JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) Program is an exchange program for the youths to observe various topics between Japan and countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

※Depending on the flight conditions, there is a possibility of overnight stay before or after the tour.
※Participants are required to participate Online Pre-Exchange Program（February 13th, 2024).

Tokyo and Fukuoka prefecture in Japan
■ Target
University students
■ Language
National language of each participating country（＝Burmese interpretation is available）
■ Qualifications for participants
(1) Applicants must be of Myanmar nationality and live in Myanmar.（Those who have Japanese nationality are ineligible.）
(2) Applicants must be University student.
(3) Those who have participated in JENESYS program or other programs funded by the Japanese
government are ineligible.

✓ SSEAYP (Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program)
✓ Sakura Science Exchange Program
✓ JICA (Except the program hold in AMS countries and Timor-Leste)
✓ Japanese Government (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT))Scholarship Program
✓ Invitation Program of JF (Japan Foundation), JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization) or AOTS* (HIDA**).
* Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships
** The Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (the previous name of AOTS)
(4) Applicants who have been to Japan are, in principle, not eligible.
(5) Applicants who have studied in Japan for a long term are not eligible.
(6) The applicant is desirable to have adequate English conversation skills to communicate with staff in English, such as during school exchange program and in case of emergency.
(7) The applicant should be physically capable of keeping up with a busy program schedule (Includes playing Tag Rugby) requiring extensive walking each day.
(8) The applicant must have a sufficient internet condition to have access to the online pre-exchange program.
(9) Applicants need to bring mobile phone and PC to Japan.
(10) Passport (PV) must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of return to Myanmar.
(11) Applicants should be highly interested in sports and emotional education, but doesn’t need to have the experience of playing rugby.
