Opening Ceremony of the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC)

On December 10, 2025, the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar, together with VFS Services Myanmar, held the opening ceremony of the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC).
The ceremony included speeches by Mr. Shogo Yoshitake, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim the Embassy, and Mr. Simon Peachey, Chief Operating Officer – Australasia Region, of VFS Global. It was followed by a ribbon-cutting conducted by the Embassy and VFS Global representatives.
The Embassy hopes that JVAC will contribute to greater convenience for Myanmar people wishing to visit Japan and further advance the friendly relations between Japan and Myanmar.
