FY2025 Head of Mission’s Commendation Award Ceremony (Two employees from Yangon Japanese School)

            On February 10, 2026, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim Mr. Yoshitake Shogo presented the Head of Mission’s Commendation to two employees from Yangon Japanese School at his residence.

            This marks the first occasion on which the staff of Yangon Japanese School have received the Head of Mission’s Commendation. The recipients are as follows:

            Mr. Aung Myo, as the leader of the maintenance staff, significantly contributed to the smooth and efficient daily operations by overseeing the maintenance staff under the direction of the Head of Administrative (acting Principal) and others. Throughout nearly 30 years of dedicated service, Mr. Aung Myo has made remarkable achievements in ensuring the safety of children, improving the school environment, and smoothly operating school events, and his contributions are highly valued.

            Ms. Tin Mar Lar, as an English conversation instructor, is in charge of English classes. Over the course of approximately 21 years of service, Ms. Tin Mar Lar has made remarkable achievements in enhancing English education, promoting international exchange activities, and supporting school operations, and her dedication has been recognized with high appreciation.

            At the ceremony, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim Mr. Yoshitake praised the achievements of the two recipients and expressed gratitude for their daily efforts to maintain and improve educational activities, while e ensuring a safe and secure environment for Japanese residents' children and students.

            In response, Mr. Aung Myo, the award recipient, expressed his renewed determination and said "Approximately 30 years have passed since I was employed at the Japanese school. I will continue to take responsibility for the tasks entrusted to me and strive." Ms. Tin Mar Lar, along with expressing gratitude to those involved, shared her joy of receiving the award and said "This award is not solely due to my own efforts, but thanks to the presence of the Japanese teachers with whom I have worked hard."
