FY2026 Head of Mission’s Commendation Award Ceremony (Mr. Masahiko Tanaka, JICA Expert)

Mr. Tanaka Masahiko served as the Chief Representative of the JICA Myanmar Office from September 2011 and established the Myanmar-Japan Center for Human Resource Development (MJC) in 2013. Since assuming the position of Chief Advisor at MJC as a JICA expert in 2023, he has dedicated himself to human resource development by organizing and conducting management courses and study tours to Japanese companies, primarily targeting local small and medium-sized enterprise managers, while also contributing to strengthening business ties between Japanese and Myanmar companies.

At the commendation ceremony, Mr. Yoshitake praised Mr. Tanaka’s past achievements and expressed gratitude for his contributions to the development of Japan-Myanmar relations through MJC’s activities and other efforts. In response, Mr. Tanaka reflected on his aspirations and journey in the human resource development project at MJC, and expressed his appreciation to the Government of Japan and MJC staff.
